2016/2017 was a strong year for Haddon Rig, with both strong wool and meat sales, a great team and success in the show ring.
We built a new set of sheep yards, allowing quicker sheep processing and improving labour efficiency. We also dug a 2km irrigation pipeine with 6-inch welded poly pipe to replace earth channels and cut down water transmission losses. In our 2017 cattle program, we purchased 100 Angus heifers in-calf to a Wagyu bull to breed some Wagyu F1's, which we are currently trialling against our Angus herd.
